AI is deeply empowering cultural innovation. AI4C 2026 brings together global researchers, academics and industry leaders to explore the convergence of frontier AI and the cultural sector, building an international high-end platform for AI-empowered cultural development.
The 2026 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence for Culture (AI4C 2026) is jointly organized by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China Institute of Communications, China Society of Image and Graphics, and China Graphics Society, and will be held in Beijing, China on November 6–8, 2026.
Centered on the theme of AI empowering cultural innovation, the conference convenes scholars, researchers and industry leaders worldwide to discuss the application of frontier AI technologies across film & television, publishing, cultural tourism, online audiovisual, cultural heritage, and digital creativity.
The 2025 China Culture & Intelligence Conference was listed among the key conferences by the China Association for Science and Technology. As its continuation, AI4C 2026 provides cutting-edge insights, rich academic exchange, and an industry showcase to advance research-industry collaboration.
AI4C 2026 invites original research paper submissions from around the world
We cordially invite original research contributions advancing the state of the art at the intersection of artificial intelligence and culture. The conference aims to bring together academic and industrial wisdom to drive theoretical innovation, technical breakthroughs, and real-world deployment of AI in the cultural domain. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for indexing by EI Compendex and Scopus, with outstanding papers recommended to high-quality journals.
Submissions are welcome on (but not limited to) the following core areas of AI empowering culture
Digitization, restoration, and semantic understanding of artifacts, archives, intangible heritage, and historic sites.
Co-creation, generative art, music, literature, and design under cultural constraints.
Low-resource and endangered-language technologies, cross-cultural NLP, and local vision-language models.
Ontologies, knowledge graphs, and value-sensitive reasoning for pluralistic societies.
Participatory design, cultural adaptation, inclusivity, and the ethics of AI in cultural spaces.
Computational models of cultural dynamics, belief, identity, and collective memory.
Bias, fairness, provenance, copyright, and the governance of AI in cultural domains.

Publishing and indexing arrangements that ensure the international visibility of your work
All accepted and registered papers will be published in the proceedings and submitted to EI Compendex for indexing.
The proceedings will also be submitted to Scopus and other major academic indexes to broaden global reach.
Selected outstanding papers will be recommended to special issues or regular issues of leading international journals.
Fees cover conference materials, coffee breaks and proceedings. Final amounts to be announced.
